Geographie

Der 31,9 km2 große Naturhafen<ref name="Hillock_Rohan_S2" /> befindet sich rund 40 km südwestlich von {{#invoke:Vorlage:lang|flat}} an der Westküste des {{#invoke:Vorlage:lang|flat}} {{#invoke:Vorlage:lang|flat}}, mit Zugang zur Tasmansee.<ref name="LINZ_Topo250_maps" /> Das sich über 11,5 km erstreckende Gewässer misst an seiner breitesten Stelle rund 5,8 km und besitzt eine Küstenlinie von rund 58 km.<ref name="Google_Earth" /> 74 % der Fläche des Hafens ist den Gezeiten ausgesetzt.<ref name="Hillock_Rohan_S2" />

Geologie
