Ursprünglich enthielt er etwa 144 Seiten, von denen 102 entweder vollständig oder in Teilen noch erhalten sind.<ref>Metzger+Ehrman (2005), S. 58</ref> Er „enthält die Hälfte des Textes von [...] zwei Evangelien“<ref>Bodmer Papyrus 14–15 arrives at the Vatican</ref> – Lukas (Papyrus Bodmer XIV) und Johannes (Papyrus Bodmer XV) – auf Griechisch. Er wurde von Nestle-Aland (27. Aufl.) als Handschrift des frühen dritten Jahrhunderts datiert. Er ist eines der ältesten Manuskripte (zusammen mit <math>\mathfrak{P}</math>⁴)<ref name=Gregory>Gregory (2003) S. 28</ref> des Lukasevangeliums. „Das verbliebene Fragment enthält Lukas 3:18–24:53 [...]“.<ref name=Gregory /><ref name=Wieland>Wilker</ref> „Ein besonderes Merkmal dieses Kodex ist die Tatsache, dass Lukas auf der gleichen Seite endet, wo das Johannesevangelium beginnt.“<ref>Edwards (1976), S. 194</ref>

Der griechische Text dieses Kodex ist von alexandrinischem Texttyp. Kurt Aland ordnete ihn in Kategorie I ein.<ref name="Aland">Kurt und Barbara Aland: Der Text des Neuen Testaments. Einführung in die wissenschaftlichen Ausgaben sowie in Theorie und Praxis der modernen Textkritik. Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft, Stuttgart 1989, ISBN 3-438-06011-6, S. 111.</ref> Der Text ist näher am Codex Vaticanus als am Codex Sinaiticus. Die Übereinstimmung von <math>\mathfrak{P}</math>⁷⁵ und codex B beträgt 92 % in Johannes<ref>S. A.
