Ponticiella ist eine Parroquia mit 388 Einwohnern (2011) und einer Grundfläche von 53,16 km². Es liegt auf 456 msnm. Der Ort liegt 14 km vom Hauptort Villayón der gleichnamigen Gemeinde entfernt.

Gewässer in der Parroquia

Die Parroquia folgt den Flüssen Rio de Llouxeira und dem Rio Cabornel sowie sehr vielen kleinen Zuflüssen der beiden Flüsse.
Die Cascada (Wasserfall) de Méxica sind ein beeindruckendes Naturschauspiel.

Die Landwirtschaft prägt seit alters her die Region.

Klima

Angenehm milde Sommer mit ebenfalls milden, selten strengen Wintern. In den Hochlagen können die Winter durchaus streng werden.
