Bevölkerung
Vorlage:Kreisdiagramm Nach der Volkszählung 2020 hatte Yinchuan 2.859.074 Einwohner. Seit der Volkszählung 2010 war die Einwohnerzahl um 865.986 Personen (+43,45 %) gewachsen. 2.145.863 Einwohner (75,05 %) gehörten zur Han-Bevölkerung und 713.211 Einwohner (24,95 %) zu ethnischen Minderheiten. Letztere waren ganz überwiegend Hui-Chinesen (667.606, 23,35 %). Seit 2000 findet in Yinchuan das Yinchuan International Car and Motorcycle Tourism Festival statt, das größte Ereignis dieser Art in China mit ca. 3.000 Motorrädern, meistens im August.
